Nur-El-Hudaa Jaffar is born and raised in Singapore. She enjoys reading and finds comfort with favourites such as Asterix and Obelix. She took the courage to submit her first manuscript in late 2013 and Where is My Home? was published in 2014. Since then she has written more storybooks for children, short stories and poetry. She won the Golden Point Award in 2017 for her short story and the Inaugural MASTERA Prize in 2019 for her poetry translation.

She is now a freelance translator and an editorial consultant.
